On Tuesday of this week the Alberta government announced that they do not plan on closing or delisting 174 provincial parks that they originally announced closures for in march of 2020.
Alternatively more than a dozen parks will be operated through partnerships with organizations and communities throughout Alberta. Those that do not receive will not be delisted either.
Although no information has been shared in regards to what partnerships have been signed. This is a big step in saving our wild areas for the recreation use for many Albertans.
